As you walk drawing
between the tents
of these thrice
rejected people
-it is very hot now-,
the Syrians offer
water -tea-,
a chair to sit,
while you draw.
-Their ethos
of hospitality
has not descended-.
An incredible cariño
in terrible adversity.
Likewise -the volunteers-,
who are just giving help
- not babbling - until
they drop with exhaustion,
some too tired to eat.
A town of 10,000 people
with a very high ethos,
but living in tents.
